Ernest William "Bill" Sheffield age 78 of Linden, AL, died January 13, 2016 at his home. He was born November 26, 1937 in Wilcox County, AL. He was a retired mechanic with the Alabama State Highway Department.
He is survived by his three daughters, Sheila Delois (Michael) Willis of Gallion, AL; Felicia Renee (Billy) Sheffield of Linden, AL; Angela Christine (Bobby) Godbold of Coy, AL; brother, Robert "Peter" Clifford (Dorothy) Sheffield of Consul, AL; sister, Mary Ann "Sue" (Lonnie) Hargreaves of Coy, AL; six grandchildren, Elizabeth Kathaleen Crocker, James Linden Sheffield, William Blake Godbold, Bryon Adam Godbold, Heather Renee Sheffield Danner, April Faye Sheffield, six great grandchildren, Blain Gill, Elizabeth Cheyanne Willis, Kenneth Crocker, Anna Neveah Sheffield, Payton Shae Godbold, Brody Allen Danner.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Lizzie Inez Morgan Sheffield, father, James William Sheffield, brother Marvin Lee "Buddy" Sheffield.
Visitation will be held at McKinley Bethel Baptist Church on Saturday, January 16,2016 from 12:30 pm until the 2:00 pm service time. Burial will be in McKinley Cemetery in Thomaston, AL.
