Modene Milstead Wood age 96 a homemaker of Beaver Creek, AL, died April 6, 2014 at her daughter's home in Helena, AL. She was born December 9, 1917 in Sweet Water, AL. She was a member of the Beaver Creek Baptist Church.

She is survived by her son, Harry (Cynthia) Wood, Jr. of Beaver Creek , AL; daughter, Margaret (Paul) Thomas of Helena, AL; brother, Henry Milstead of Sweet Water, AL; two sisters, Mary Angelos of Sweet Water, AL; Jannie Turley of Nicholsville, AL; five grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

Graveside funeral services will be held at Aimwell Baptist Church Cemetery on Wednesday, April 9, 2014 at 11:00 am with Rev. Sidney Hill officiating.
