Obituary for Trula Vee Quinney

Trula Vee Quinney age 89 a homemaker of Gallion, AL died February24, 2011 at the Huntsville Hospital. She was born June 10, 1921 in Nanafalia, AL. Mrs. Quinney was a member of Providence Baptist Church and served in many teaching and leadership positions, and was a life long choir member. She served on the Marengo County Library Board and was the Providence Community News Reporter for the Democrat Reporter and the Demopolis Times.

She is survived by her daugher, Marilyn Peters & (son by marriage, Palmer) of Huntsville, AL; son, Dale Quinney & (daughter by marriage, Susan) of Matthews, AL; son by marriage, Roger Crowson & (wife, Karen) of Huntsville, AL; a beloved sister-in-law, Maggie Quinney of Gallion, AL; granchildren, Shana Locke of Birmingham, AL; Hunter (Jennifer) Locke of Huntsville, AL; Brent (Sarah) Quinney, M.D. of Birmingham, AL; Leigh Quinney of Camp Hill, AL; Ashley (Ron) Burchfield, M.D. of Madison, AL; Chase (Katy) Crowson of Marietta, GA; Cade (Angela) Crowson of North Bend, OR; great grandchildren, Heath Burchfield, Jackson Burchfield, Stone Crowson, Marte Locke, Thomas Locke, Trae Locke, Maxwell Crowson, Oliver Crowson, Alexandria Crowson, Braxton Quinney.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Monroe Quinney, Sr., son, Thomas Monroe Quinney, Jr., and daughter, Rebecca Quinney Crowson.

Vistation will be held at Providence Baptist Church on Tuesday, March 1, 2011 from 12:00 noon until the 2:00 pm service time with Rev. Warren Huggins and Dr. David Digmon officiating. Burial will be in the Providence Baptist Church Cemetery.
