Luther Indwood Parden age 91 of Grove Hill, AL died May 14, 2023 at Jackson Medical Center. He was born September 26, 1931 in Coffeeville, AL to Henry Savage and Ruthie Lillian Parden. Luther was a retired service technician with Parden Gas and Alabama Power Co. He was a US Army veteran serving in the 64th tank battalion during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of Witch Creek Baptist Church and a member of VFW Post 5106.

He is survived by his wife, Ethel Marion “Mae” Loper Parden; two sons, Larry Parden and Garry Parden; four brothers, Earnest Quitman Parden, Wilbur Grey Parden, William Lundy Parden, and Louie Parden; four sisters, Dorothy Parden Newton, Juanice Parden Price, Faye Parden Mooneyhand, and Kaye Parden Smalley; five grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry Savage “Jim” Parden and Ruthie Lillian Howell Parden; two brothers, Gettys Parden and Donnie Parden; and sister, Evelyn Parden.

Visitation will be held at O’Bryant Chapel Funeral Home on Wednesday, May 17, 2023 from 10:00 am until the 11:00 am service time with Rev. David Curtis and Rev. Leon Harrison officiating. Burial will follow at Witch Creek Baptist Church Cemetery in Campbell, AL.
