Nell Jackson age 85 of Thomasville, AL died March 28, 2023 at her daughter’s home in Grove Hill, AL. She was born January 26, 1938 in Grove Hill, AL to William Sidney and Ethel May Gates.
She is survived by her daughter, Wanda Avritt; daughter, Dara Whitney (John); daughter, Sonja Jordan (Bill); son, Heustis Avritt, Jr. (Janis); son, George Hayes (Tina); and daughter, Vanessa Borsage; brother, David Williamson; twenty grandchildren, forty three great grandchildren, and twenty three great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Hubert L. Jackson; son, Billy Ray Williamson; son, Tim Jackson; and her parents, William Sidney and Ethel May Williamson.
Visitation will be held at O’Bryant Chapel Funeral Home on Monday, April 3, 2023 from 1:00 pm until the 2:00 pm service time with Dr. Steve Trader officiating. Burial will follow at Choctaw Corner Cemetery.
