Obituary for Katherine Powell Wilson
Katherine Powell Wilson age 71 of Dickinson, AL died February 23, 2023 at her home. She was born December 2, 1951 in Grove Hill, AL to Thomas Heflin Powell and Ruby Jewell Powell. She retired after 42 years as a licensed practical nurse from Grove Hill Memorial Hospital and she attended First Baptist Church Fulton.
She is survived by her son, Phillip Allen Averitt (Tracy); her fiance’ for 17 plus years, John Green; three brothers, Tim Powell (Felicia), Allen Powell (Gail), and Jody Powell (Donna); four sisters, Sarah Roberts, Susan Dunn (Darrin), Marilyn Jackson, and Rebecca Williams (Roland); and three grandchildren.
Visitation will be held at First Baptist Church Fulton on Monday, February 27, 2023 from 10:00 am until the 11:00 am service time with Rev. Steve Green officiating. Burial will follow at Salem Baptist Church Cemetery in Scyrene, AL.
