Peggy Drinkard Cannon age 93 of Linden, AL died February 19, 2023 at her daughter's home in Nanafalia, AL. She was born May 11, 1929 in Linden, AL to D. Moody and Artee Drinkard. She was a retired receptionist from Naheola Paper Mill and a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church.

She is survived by her son, William J. “Bud” Cannon, III (Neicey); two daughters, Peggy Pritchett (Billy) and Marie Ray (Terry); seven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. W. J. Cannon, Jr.; great granddaughter, Anna Kamplain; and her brother, Ed Drinkard.

Visitation will be held at Bethlehem Baptist Church on Friday, February 24, 2023 from 10:00 am until the 11:00 am service time with Rev. Lister Hill officiating. Burial will follow at Linden Memorial Park.

Active pallbearers will be Brady Vincent, Bret Vincent, Josh Ray, Jay Cannon, Colby Cannon, Hunter Kamplain, and William Brown.

Honorary pallbearers will be Southern Care Hospice and her caregiver, Jackie Harris.

Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to The Joy Like Anna Foundation, 602 Homestead Lane, Tuscaloosa, AL 35405 or Bethlehem Baptist Church.
