Obituary for Eleanor Kendall McColman
Eleanor Kendall McColman of Wilson, North Carolina, went to her Heavenly home on February 16, 2023 at Son Rise Assisted Living in Demopolis, Alabama. She was the daughter of Fred Algie Kendall and Janet Weatherspoon Kendall from Johns, North Carolina.
She graduated from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro with a teaching degree in Elementary Education. Her passions are her flowers, sewing, and playing bridge. She will be remembered by her steadfast faith in the Lord.
Eleanor was preceded in death by her husband, James Alexander McColman. She was also preceded in death by her two brothers, Gene Kendall and Fred Kendall.
She is survived by her three children, Janet Helen Giordano (Ted), James Alexander McColman (Kari), and Kathy Baker (Danny). She has four grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at Linden Baptist Church in Linden, Alabama on Thursday, February 23, 2023. Visitation will be at 10:00 am followed by the service at 11:00 am. She will be laid to rest in Gibson, North Carolina at Pinecrest Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to the ALS foundation or the Legacy of Faith Fund at Linden Baptist Church.
