Obituary for Dorothy Cobb Pruitt
Dorothy Cobb Pruitt age 89 of Gallion, AL died February 15, 2023 at Marengo Nursing Home. She was born June 18, 1933 in Octagon, AL to Henry William and Donnie Cobb. She was a former secretary at Vanity Fair and a member of Providence Baptist Church.
She is survived by three sisters, Mildred Duke, Juliette “Cudie” Hinson, and Margie Williams; three sister-in-laws, Janice Cobb, Betty Pruitt, and Jane Smith; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by, her husband, Harold Pruitt; her parents, William Henry and Donnie Cobb; two brothers, Major David Cobb and Winston Cobb; and four sisters, June Hadley, Joyce Ann Dennison, Ilene McPherson, and Lean Earl Cobb.
Visitation will be held at Providence Baptist Church on Friday, February 17, 2023 from 1:00 pm until the 2:00 pm service time with Rev. David Moree and Dr. David Stidham officiating. Burial will follow at Providence Baptist Church Cemetery.
Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Providence Baptist Church or Marengo Nursing Home.
