Obituary for Jim Bob Jones
James Elbert “Jim Bob” Jones age 77 of Linden, AL died November 24, 2022 at Choctaw Health & Rehab. He was born May 13, 1945 in Whynot, MS to Ernest Fleming and Janie Louise Jones. He enjoyed walking, visiting with friends, smiling, hugging, being an Auburn fan, and campaigning for his friends.
He is survived by his siblings, Robert Maurice Jones, Barbara Jean Creekmore, Sybil Louise McCann, Bessie Ruth Perry (Tom), Thomas Edward Jones, Margaret Ann Patrick (Buddy); numerous nieces and nephews, many, many cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest Fleming and Janie Louise Jones, siblings, Mary Earl Monsour, Edna Mae Walker, Sara Kate Trainham, Billy Luther Jones; half siblings, Roscoe Jones, Gordan Rollie Jones, Leroy Jones, Harvey Jones, and Julian Jones, Coleman Jones, and Mattie Culpepper.
Visitation will be held at O’Bryant Chapel Funeral Home on Monday, November 28, 2022 from 10:00 am until the 11:00 am service time. Burial will follow at Linden Memorial Park.
