Obituary for Arthur David Huckabee
Arthur David Huckabee age 63 of Linden, AL died at his home. David, known as "Huck" was born October 10, 1958 in Selma, AL to Arthur Brunson Huckabee and Donnie Mae Bryant.
Huck's family and friends knew him as one of the kindest, most caring, giving, and selfless people they knew. He taught his daughter and grandchildren how to be independent strong, yet tender, how to love unconditionally, to cherish the people in their lives. How to appreciate the daylight and wonder through the night and to help someone in need no matter the time of day. He found happiness in fishing, making something old new again, building anything with wood, and helping others. He would do all he could to help lessen a burden on someone else.
He is survived by his daughter, Jami Cross (Dylan); five grandchildren, Sumerlin Wright, Tristin Wright, Piper Black, Anna Huckston Cross, and Lakelynn Cross all of Thomaston, AL; sister, Marie Huckabee of Montgomery, AL.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Donnie Mae Huckabee, and his wife, Michelle Thibodeux Huckabee.
Graveside memorial services will be held at Linden Memorial Park on Monday, August 8, 2022 at 2:00 pm. Followed by a celebration of life at Scott Park Pavillion.
Honorary pallbearers will be Bill McClinton, Bobby Edwards, Jacob Criswell, and Tony Rice.
