Obituary for Linda Rowell Downey
Linda Rowell Downey age 84 of Mobile, AL died June 14, 2022 at her home. She was born January 31, 1938 in Montgomery, Alabama to Hugh M. and Mary Clovette Rowell. She was a retired from AT&T and a member of Trinity United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her daughter, Alice “Dede” Downey Hale (Mark); sister, Alice Rowell Ward; and two grandchildren, Emaleigh Hale and Walker Hale.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Ellis “Jubie” Downey, Jr.; son, Dudley Martin Downey; and parents, Hugh M. and Mary Clovette Rowell.
Graveside funeral services will be held at Old Union Baptist Church Cemetery on Friday, June 17, 2022 at 10:00 am with William “Bill” Summerlin officiating.
