Obituary for Peggy Kennedy Ricketts
Peggy Kennedy Ricketts 80, of Grove Hill, Alabama, went to meet her Lord, April 13, 2022.
Peggy was born in New Orleans, Louisiana on January 18, 1942. She later moved to Grove Hill, AL where she graduated from Clarke County High School. It was there that she met her future, loving husband, Don Ricketts and they married on June 26, 1960. They made their home in Grove Hill and were married for almost 62 years.
Peggy is survived by her husband, Donald Lewis Ricketts, Sr.; her three children, Brenda Ricketts Seale (Trey), Donald (Donnie) Lewis Ricketts, Jr. (Debbie), and Amy Ricketts Winslett, (Will); grandchildren, Lora Brianne Haghighi, Emilee Ricketts Walker (Bobby), Wesley Lewis Winslett, Katie Ricketts Corbett (R. J.), Donald Logan Ricketts (Olivia),Kathryn Blair Seale, Lindsey Carrington Adams (John), Mallory Peyton Seale, Casey Winslett Starnes (Brent); five great-grandchildren, Lee Dunnam, Charlee Corbett, Isabella Ricketts, Emma Lewis Walker, Elizabeth Ricketts; one brother, John David Kennedy (Brenda), two sisters, Molly Kennedy Townsend (Brooks), and Gay Kennedy Reynolds (Mike) and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends and her beloved dog, Sassy.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Vernon S. (Runt) Kennedy, Mavis Casey Kennedy; and brother, Vernon Steve Kennedy.
The celebration of life service will be Saturday, April 23 at 11 a.m. at Grove Hill Baptist Church. The family will have visitation at 10 a.m. at the church.
