Obituary for Dr. Tom M. Jones
Dr. Tom M. Jones age 81 of Starkville, MS passed away March 4, 2022 in Koskiosko, MS. He was born in Linden, AL December 24, 1940 to Frank M. Jones and Mabel M. Jones.
He was a devout Christian and a member of First Baptist Church in Starkville, He was a graduate of Auburn University and received a doctorate in Agricultural Economics at Clemson University. He retired from the US. Army as a Lieutenant Colonel. He was deployed to the Dominican Republic, Korea, and Vietnam while serving in the US Army in the 1960's. He was awarded the Bronze Star and the Purple Heart.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Robbie Jones.
He is survived by his second wife, Karron Jones of 8 years, his daughter, Athena Reiche (Hans), son, Frank Jones (Shelly) and granddaughter, Elaine Reiche.
Graveside funeral services will be held at Linden Memorial Park on Wednesday, March 16, 2022 at 1:30 pm with Billy Boggs officiating.
