She was affectionately called “Momma Sue”, and was known for her kindness, strong spirit, generosity and willingness to help others, and love for her family. She was a former seamstress with Soloman Brothers and later with Simplex. She was a member of Thomasville United Methodist Church.

She is preceded in death by her loving husband Charles Ernest “Charlie” Robison (USAF - Ret.) She met the love of her life while Charlie was stationed at Tachikawa Air Force Base, Tokyo, Japan. She was the beloved mother of 7 children: Shirley (Dennis) Crowe, Billy (Debbie) Robison, Angela (Steve) Wilson, Julie (Curt) Schultze, Susan (John) Barton, JoAnn (Ron) Harman, and Tracy (Cliff) Amos. She leaves behind 14 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, a host of nieces and nephews, and longtime friend and “sister in spirit” Keiko Tyler.

Sue came from a large family near Tokyo, in the hillside area of Hachioji City, Japan. She is survived by brothers, Seichi Nomura, Hisashi Nomura, and sisters Kyoko Kiyushi and Yoko Nomura, and their families.

In her active years, Sue enjoyed fishing with her grandchildren, working in her flower garden, daily walks with girlfriends, traveling, and weekly visits to the nursing home catching up with friends. She had a talent for crafting and enjoyed sewing, knitting, and making origami, and took pleasure in cooking Japanese cuisine for her children and grandchildren.

In celebration of Sue’s life, a Memorial will be held at Thomasville United Methodist Church, 110 Old Highway 5, North, on March 4, 2022. Visitation will be from 10-11AM, Memorial service to follow.
