Irene H. Tucker, age 98, passed away peacefully at her home in Sweet Water, AL on Friday, June 25, 2021. The loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother was a longtime member of Sweet Water Baptist Church where she taught Training Union to young children.

Her husband, Albert Tennyson Tucker, preceded her in death, along with parents, James and Nellie Hill, brother, Thomas Edgar Hill, sister, Corine Flowers, son-in-law Randy LaCoste, and two great granddaughters, Elena and Christina Tucker.

She is survived by a son Albert Ronald Tucker (Sheila) and a daughter Brenda Carol LaCoste; five grandchildren, Jason Tucker, Jackie Tucker, Kyle Tucker, Wendy Bedsole, and Vince LaCoste; twelve great grandchildren, Kate Bedsole, Wesley Tennyson Bedsole, Miller Bedsole, Alyssa LoCoste, Bailey LaCoste, Garrett LaCoste, Nathan LaCoste, Carmen Tucker, Anna Tucker, Jacob Tennyson Tucker, Emi Tucker, and Claire Tucker.

Irene worked in the Sweet Water Post Office. She always enjoyed her work and retired as a postal clerk after many years.

The family will receive friends at Sweet Water Baptist Church on Monday, June 28, 2021 at 10:00 AM followed by a 11:00 AM service with interment immediately following at Sweet Water Cemetery.
