James Robert "Bob" Hope age 72 of Thomasville, AL died June 18, 2021 at his home. He was born February 14, 1949 in Sardis, Mississippi, he was adopted and raised by his grandparents James Azman and Lessie Estelle Hope, his birth mother was Nellie Warner Hope. Bob was a retired service technician with Bellsouth. He spent his time using his gifts to help others in the community, he was a member of First Baptist Church Fulton, an auxiliary deputy for 30+ years, and a volunteer firefighter for the Town of Fulton. He was a veteran having served two tours in the Vietnam War.

Bob loved his family and was blessed to be married 45 years to his wife, Judy Buckalew Hope; he is also survived by two sons, Nathan (Hope) Hope and Andrew (Allison) Hope; sister, Ruth Anne (Bobby) Nobles; four grandchildren, Estela Marie Hope, Tanner James Hope, Emmy Faye Hope, and Asa James Hope

Visitation will be held at O'Bryant Chapel Funeral Home on Tuesday, June 22, 2021 from 1:00 pm until the 2:00 pm service time with Steve Green officiating. Burial will be at Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery.
