Melba Beverly West age 85 of Thomasville, AL died May 2, 2021 at Thomasville Regional Medical Center surrounded by her family. She was born April 30, 1936 in McKenzie, AL to John H. and Annie Pearl Beverly. Melba was a homemaker, wife, mother, and meemaw to her family.

She is survived by five sons, Leon West, III (Brenda) of Thomaston, AL; Tommie West, Sr. (Jan) of Selma, AL; Bobby West (Jackie) of Thomasville, AL; Harvey West, Sr. of Thomasville, AL; and John West, Sr. (Sandi) of Thomasville, AL; daughter, Kathryn Smith (Marvin) of Thomasville, AL; fifteen grandchildren, nineteen great grandchildren, and five great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Leon A. West, Jr.; her parents, John H. and Annie Pearl Beverly; and daughter-in-law, Beth West.

Visitation will be held at O’Bryant Chapel Funeral Home on Tuesday, May 4, 2021 at 9:00 am. Graveside funeral services will follow at Evergreen Memorial Gardens at 10:00 am with Rev. Scott Myers officiating.
