Obituary for Peter Frank McGilberry
Peter Frank McGilberry age 69 of Sweet Water, AL died March 16, 2021 at his home. He was born November 21, 1951 in Thomasville, AL to Flave and Essie Mae McGilberry. He was employed with Pritchett Logging Company and enjoyed farming. He was a member of Aimwell Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Betty Jane Thompson McGilberry; two sons, Jessie Frank McGilberry (Julia) and Peter Frank “Mac” McGilberry, Jr. (Roxie); three daughters, Glenna Elaine Price, Joyce Dortch (Billy); and Katie McGilberry (William); brother, Jim McGilberry; four sisters, Gwen Tharp (Larry), Betty Lou Christian (Bob), Mary Jam (Zia), and June Rush (Mike); twelve grandchildren, Jesse Kirk, Tamaryn Kirk, Trenton Smith, Meagan Roberts (Brandon), Melanie Wooley (Jake), Colter Flave McGilberry, Joseph Price, Justin Blake McGilberry, Brookleigh Phillips, Lindsey McGilberry, Aubrey McGilberry, and Clay McGilberry; three great grandchildren, Raevan Roberts, Rylee Nichols, and Eli Roberts.
Visitation will be held will be held at O’Bryant Chapel Funeral Home on Thursday, March 18, 2021 from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm. Funeral services will be held at Aimwell Baptist Church on Friday, March 19, 2021 at 10:00 am with Rev. Pike Smith and Rev. Pat Ozment officiating. Burial will follow at Aimwell Baptist Church Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Aimwell Cemetery Association, c/o Reagan Daniels, 37961 Alabama Highway 10, Sweet Water, AL 36782.
