Obituary for Mary Pope Reed
Mary Pope Reed age 91 of Thomasville, AL died March 9, 2021 at her home. She was born January 10, 1930 in Selma, AL. She was a long time piano teacher and a member of Thomasville United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her son, Willard M. “Skeeter” Reed, Jr. (Deborah) of Thomasville, AL; daughter, Rebecca Elizabeth “Libba” McMillan (Ken) of Auburn, AL; four granddaughters, Rebecca Reed of Greenville, SC; Rachel Reed of Birmingham, AL; Meredith McMillan Brock (Bryan) of Melbourne, FL; and Madeline McMillan Nowark (Krystian) of Cambridge, MA; and great grandson, Nathan Brock of Melbourne, FL.
She was preceded in death by husband, Willard M. Reed, Sr.; her parents, Hubert Collins and Amanda Alston Pope.
A family graveside service was held at Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church on Thursday, March 11, 2021at 2:00 pm.
