Obituary for Florence Rebecca Mooring
Florence Rebeeca Mooring age 84 of Linden, AL died February 21, 2021 at Whitfield Regional Hospital. She was born April 30, 1936 in Octagon, AL to Grafton and Sarah Mooring. She was a high school teacher and a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church. She was also a member of Delta Kappa Gamma and the Pilot Club.
She is survived by her sister, Sarah Catherine Hudson (Jim), her brother, Joseph William “Billy” Mooring (Ellen), her nieces, Allison Laubenthal (husband, Jim and daughter, Lindsay), and Mary Ellen Mooring, her nephew, Samuel Welden Mooring (wife, Brooke and children, Henry and Lucy), honorary niece, Elizabeth Tisdale (husband, Marion and children, Catherine Eve and Ashley), and devoted family friend, Donna Wiltsie.
Graveside funeral services will be held at Octagon Cemetery on Friday, February 26, 2021 at 2:00 pm with Rev. Daniel Gandy and Billy Boggs officiating.
