Obituary for Edith Eloise Green
Edith Eloise Drake Green age 88 of Demopolis, AL died September 16, 2020 at her home. She was born August 27, 1932 in Hale, County to Alpheus Brown Drake and Reba Avery Drake. She was a former seamstress with Vanity Fair. She married her husband, Edward W. Green, March 13, 1955.
She is survived by her sister, Mary Elizabeth Drake Lavender of Eutaw, AL; sister-in-laws, Eleanor Drake of Uniontown, AL and Betty Joe Drake of Greensboro, AL; numerous nieces and nephews; great nieces and nephews; and great great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward W. Green, her father, Alpheus Drake, her mother, Reba Drake, and two brothers, Walton Drake and Alpheus Drake, Jr.
Graveside funeral services will be held at Demopolis Memorial Gardens on Monday, September 21, 2020 at 11:00 am with Billy Joe Drake officiating.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Southern Care Hospice in Demopolis, AL or to the American Cancer Society.
