Obituary for O.C. Wilson, Jr.

O.C. Wilson, Jr. age 99 of Thomasville, AL died July 1, 2020 at his home. He was born June 18, 1921 in Thomasville, AL to O.C. and Flossie Wilson. During WWII, he worked in the Panama Canal Zone as a military aircraft sheet metal worker, repairing damaged aircraft. After WWII, he worked mostly in Louisiana at Baton Rouge, Shreveport, Natchitoches, and Rayville. He took the position of head field superintendent for the Louis Hoffman Company out of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He served in this position until retirement. He was a member of Round Hill Baptist Church and was a Master Mason.

He is survived by his son, Michael C. Wilson (Deborah); three daughters, Brenda Teller (Edward); Janice Moody (Roger), and Elisa Ingram; twelve grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Eleanor Marie Joiner Wilson; and son, Thomas Wilson.

Visitation will be held at Round Hill Baptist Church on Monday, July 6, 2020 from 9:00 am until the 10:00 am service time with Rev. Fred Funchess and Rev. John Gibson officiating. Burial will follow at Round Hill Baptist Church Cemetery.
