Obituary for Marguerite Overton
Nora Marguerite “Maggie” Overton age 95 of Lower Peach Tree, AL died June 11, 2020 at Marengo Nursing Home. She was born October 8, 1924 in Fulton, AL to Albert Coma and Olive Haskew. She was a retired LPN with Thomasville Mental Health Center and a member of Lower Peach Tree United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her four daughters, Sandra O. Chaney (Jimmy)of Thomasville, AL; Cheryl O. Strohm (Clark) of Pittsburg, PA; June O. Newton (William) of Magnolia, AL; Betty O. King of Thomasville, AL; two sons, Robert D. Overton (Maricel) of Fulton, AL and Ray Terry Overton of Lower Peach Tree, AL; two sisters, Juanita McVeigh and Francis Smith; twenty one grandchildren, thirty seven great grandchildren, and thirty eight great-great grandchildren
She was preceded in death by her husband Jacob Lewis Overton; son, Lewis "Shorty" Overton, and daughter, Linda O. Nettles.
Visitation will be held at O’Bryant Chapel Funeral Home on Sunday, June 14, 2020 from 1:00 pm until the 2:00 pm service time with Rev. Jim DuFriend officiating. Burial will follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
