Dorman B. (Billy) Phillips age 75 of Morvin, AL departed this world and went to his Heavenly home on April 27, 2020. He was born March 22, 1945 in Tallahatta Springs, AL to Dorman R. (Tot) and Mary West Phillips. He married Charity McQueeney on May 7, 1966. He was an honorably discharged veteran of the Alabama Army National Guard. Billy worked in the pole milling business for most of his life, most recently with Alabama Timber Co. for the last 34 years. He was a member of Creels Chapel United Methodist Church. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and friend. His family was his most prized possession.

He is survived by his wife, Charity McQueeney Phillips; daughter, Billie Jo (Chip) Etheridge; granddaughters, Hannah (Matt) Duff and Rebekah Etheridge; great grandson, Eli and Asher Duff; and great granddaughter, Ava Duff; sister, Juanita Phillips Luker.

He was preceded in death by his parents, “Tot” and Mary Phillips; and siblings, James Alfred Phillips, David Phillips, and Dell Ouida (Seldon) Morgan.

Private graveside funeral services were held on Friday, May 1, 2020 at Creel's Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery with Rev. Jim DuFriend officiating.
