Obituary for Annie Wade Mathers
Annie Wade Mathers age 97 of Nanafalia, AL died April 6, 2020 at Thomasville Health Care and Rehabilitation Center. She was born March 16, 1923 in Sandhill, MS to Charlie and Mary Christine Wade. She was retired from Vanity Fair and was a member of Nanafalia Baptist Church.
She is survived by her three daughters, Sherian Newton (Don), June James (Robby), and Sue Smith (Tommy); two sons, Matt Mathers (Sharon) and Joey Mathers (Darlene); sister, Alma Jo Wood; half brother, Charles Richard Wade; eleven grandchildren, twenty seven great grandchildren, and six great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Matt Mathers, Sr., and daughter, Brenda M Brantley.
Private family graveside services were held on Thursday, April 9, 2020 at Nanafalia Baptist Church Cemetery with Dr. Bo Brantley officiating. A memorial service will be announced at a later time.
