Obituary for Ruth Phillips
Violet Ruth Phillips age 82 of Pine Hill, AL died September 21, 2019 at her home. She was born June 18, 1937 in Lamison, AL to Walter and Violet Mendenhall. She was a retired registered nurse and a member of the Jehovah’s Witness Church.
She is survived by her four sons, Aaron Phillips (Kathy), Wayne Phillips (Kat), Kendall Phillips (Felicia), and Doug Phillips (Angie); sister, Lorene Vick; two brothers, Reede Mendenhall (Carolyn) and Eugene Mendenhall (Annette); sixteen grandchildren and twenty one great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Howard Phillips; her parents, Walter and Violet Mendenhall; four brothers, Walter J. Mendenhall, James Mendenhall, Randolph Mendenhall, and Donnie Mendenhall; and sister. Earline Morgan.
Graveside funeral services will be held at Pine Hill Cemetery on Wednesday, September 25, 2019 at 2:00 pm.
She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She was greatly loved and will be missed by all.
