Donald Ervin Barkley age 89 of Linden, AL died April 16, 2019 at his home. He was born April 4, 1930 in Linden, AL to Dennis Ervin and Rubye Lou Barkley. He was a retired maintenance mechanic with Gulf State Paper Co., a veteran of the US Army and a member of Campground United Methodist Church.

He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Nell T. Barkley; three sons, Jack Ervin Barkley, Dennis Edward Barkley, and Mitchell Jeff Barkley (Karen) all of Linden, AL; daughter, Rubye B. Coleman (Billy) of Hope Hull, AL; 8 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held at O'Bryant Chapel Funeral Home on Thursday, April 18, 2019 from 10:00 am until the 11:00 am service time with Corey Dykes officiating. Burial will follow at Linden Memorial Park.
