Charlie was born on September 29, 1954 in Jackson, MS to the late Margaret Inman and Charles Henry Fulghum, Sr. He graduated from the University of Mississippi with a degree in Biology and from the University of South Alabama with a degree in Electrical Engineering. Charlie was employed with Boise Cascade in Jackson, AL, Bowater Paper in Catawba, SC, and most recently with International Paper in Columbus, MS.

Charlie was the picture of a life well-lived. He loved fishing, traveling, laughing, landscaping, and spending time with family. He wasn’t a man of many words, but his actions were ceaseless reminders of his love. He taught his family that quiet confidence leads to a humble heart and the recipe for great memories is hard work, good music, tasty food, and family. The family has lost a husband, father, brother, grandfather, uncle and friend, but the world has lost one of its finest. He was a prince among gentlemen.

Charlie is survived by his wife- Patsy Walker Fulghum of Columbus, MS; daughters- Phoebe (Jake) Carlson, Autumn (Steve) Calvert, Allison (Jerry) Vick; son- Chuck (Katy) Fulghum; grandchildren- Isaiah Green, Audrey Carlson, Benjamin Vick, Lora Kate Vick, Asher Calvert; sister- Pat (Troy) Speegle; brother- Ben (Kelly) Fulghum.

Pallbearers will be Troy Speegle, Jr., James Speegle, Mike Kent, Isaiah Green, Mike Acker, and Kenny Sullivan.

Memorials may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital or Pilots for Christ.
