James Wayland "Jimmy" Young age 76 of Sweet Water, AL died August 10, 2018 at his home. He was born September 25, 1941 in Selma, AL to Willie Greer and Irene Young. He was a retired equipment operator.

He is survived by his daughter, Kimberly Renee Young; son, James Wesley (Nicole) Young; sister, Barbara Hurt; two grandchildren, Kirstin Taylor Young and Jayden Whittley Young; niece, Amy Hurt Parr; nephew, Jason Hurt; his two beloved dogs, Patches and Amos.

Visitation will be held at O'Bryant Chapel Funeral Home on Wednesday, August 15, 2018 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm. Funeral services will be held at Campground United Methodist Church on Thursday, August 16, 2018 at 10:00 am with Kelly Etheridge, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow at Campground United Methodist Church Cemetery in Sweet Water, AL.

Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to the Bigbee Humane Society, in Demopolis, AL.
