Elsie Lightsey Pruitt age 73 of Thomasville, AL died July 22, 2018 at her home. She was born September 21, 1944 in Collins, MS to Samuel and Annie Mae Lightsey. She was a retired manager from Delchamps Grocery Store and a member of Pineview Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband, Winston Pruitt of Thomasville, AL; two sons, Jeff (Lisa) Pruitt of Millry, AL and Jason (Felica) Pruitt of Thomasville, AL; daughter, Jan Pruitt of Thomasville, AL; sister, Betty Sullivan of Taylorsville, MS; seven grandchildren, Portia Carpenter, Jodi Pruitt, Skye (Nick) Currie, Chance Pruitt, Summer Pruitt, Sarah Pruitt, and Shelbi Pruitt; two great grandchildren, Tucker Dearman and John Rayburn Moore.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Samuel and Annie Mae Lightsey; two brothers, Jody Lightsey and Frankie Lightsey.

Visitation will be held at O'Bryant Chapel Funeral Home on Tuesday, July 24, 2018 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm. Funeral services will be held at O'Bryant Chapel Funeral Home on Wednesday, July 25, 2018 at 11:00 am with Rev. Leland James and Rev. Benny Harrison officiating. Burial will follow at Choctaw Corner Cemetery.
