Howard Maybon Armistead age 91 of Jackson, AL died January 2, 2018 at Mobile Infirmary. He was born August 19, 1926 in McIntyre, AL to Howard Charles and Mae Armistead. He was a retired maintenance worker with Ciba Geigy. He was a member of Forest Avenue Baptist Church in Jackson, AL and a World War II, US Army veteran.

He is survived by two nephews, Dale Jordan and Daryl Jordan; three nieces, Glenda Hill, Gayle Jordan, and Teresa Smith; special friend, Leslie Hoven.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Bernice W. Armistead.

Visitation will be held at Forest Avenue Baptist Church on Saturday, January 6, 2018 from 10:00 am until the 11:00 am service time with Rev. Benny Harrison and Rev. Dustin Shelander officiating. Burial will be at Trinity Memorial Gardens in Jackson, AL.
