Ruth Pennington Molloy passed away late Monday, December 18, 2017, at her home in Pine Hill, Alabama. She was born to Prentice P. Pennington and Willie Lollar Pennington in Sulligent, Alabama on September 12, 1926. She married Robert B. Molloy on October 28, 1948 in the Sulligent Methodist Church. She resided in Amory, Mississippi, until October of 2009 when she and her husband moved to Pine Hill, Alabama to be with their two daughters. She was a life-long member of the Amory United Methodist Church. She was a mother, a teacher, a secretary, and a housewife.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her daughter, Janet E. Molloy, and two grandchildren, Robert Bryan Drake and Megan Molloy Johnson, two brothers and their wives, Keith E. (Ruby) Pennington, Billy R. (Leneta) Pennington, her sister, Ann P. Bagwell, and two nephews, Ronald Kerry Pennington and Thomas (Tom) F. Bagwell, Jr.

She is survived by her daughter, Martha (Tutti) Molloy Johnson, one granddaughter, Cydney Molloy Foster (Brian), two great-grandsons, Gabriel (Gabe) Molloy Foster and Thomas (Tom) Taylor Foster, nephew, Stephen Pennington, seven nieces, Elizabeth P. Wilker, Melissa P. Brown, Olivia P. Dunaway, Mary P. Egger, Leigh Bagwell Woodruff, Sharon Dove, and Joy Dove, and many great-nephews and great-nieces.

Graveside funeral services will be held at Sulligent Cemetery in Sulligent, Alabama on Thursday, December 21, 2017 at 12:00 noon with Rev. Dawn Bond officiating.
