Billie Ray Anderson age 91 of Thomasville, AL died August 8, 2017 at Thomasville Health Care and Rehabilitation Center. He was born April 6, 1926 in Sunny South, AL to Vernon and Zula Anderson. He was a retired log truck driver and a World War II US Navy veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Winnie B. Smith Anderson of Thomasville, AL; two sons, Clint Anderson of Yellow Bluff, AL; and Donnie Ray Baswell of Thomasville, AL; daughter, Donna Tucker of Thomasville, AL; two brothers, Donald Anderson of Florence, AL; and Vernon Anderson, Jr. of Orrville, AL; sister, Kathleen Pope of Thomasville, AL; twelve grandchildren and twenty four great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his son, Billie Ray Anderson, Jr,, parents, Vernon and Zula Anderson and sister, Dorothy Lowry.

Visitation will be held at O'Bryant Chapel Funeral Home on Thursday, August 10, 2017 from 12:30 pm until 1:30 pm. Graveside funeral services will follow at Sunny South Baptist Church Cemetery at 2:00 pm with Rev. Irby Weaver officiating.
