Clarice Sheffield Hoven age 78 of Grove Hill, AL died September 11, 2018 at her home. She was born November 30, 1939 in Grove Hill, AL to Willie E. and Sadie Lee Sheffield. She was a former secretary with B & F Farm Store and a member of Tompkins Baptist Church in Grove Hill, AL.

She is survived by her husband, Fred Delano Hoven; two sons, Barry Lee (Julie Welch) Hoven and Craig Allen (Brandy Powell) Hoven; two brothers, Larry Gene Sheffield and Ray Sheffield; sister, Nell Smith; and three grandchildren, Lane Hoven, Madison Hoven, and Tanner Hoven.

She was preceded in death by her son, Mark Anthony Hoven; parents, Willie E. and Sadie Lee Sheffield; four brothers, Willie B. Sheffield, Ralph Sheffield, Henry Lee Sheffield, and Grady Sheffield; two sisters, Alda Ray Woolfolk and Kathryn Sessions.

Visitation will be held at Tompkins Baptist Church on Thursday, September 13, 2018 from 12:30 pm until the 2:00 pm service time with Dr. Johnny Kendrick officiating. Burial will follow at Magnolia Lawn Cemetery in Grove Hill, AL.
