Thomas Lloyd Griffin age 99 of Thomasville, AL died May 6, 2018 in Opelika, AL. He was born February 7, 1919 in Thomasville, AL to Angus Boland and Ora Griffin. He was a retired school teacher and a former navy pilot of World War II. He was a member of Thomasville United Methodist Church where he was a longtime member of the choir.

He is survived by two sons, Tom Griffin, Jr. (Linda) of Montgomery, AL, and Mike Griffin (Joyce) of Auburn, AL; four grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia Harris Griffin and his daughter, Elizabeth Harris Griffin.

Memorial graveside services will be held at Choctaw Corner Cemetery on Thursday, May 10, 2018 at 10:30 am with Rev. George Sedberry officiating.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Big Oak Ranch, the United Methodist Children's Home or Baptist Children's Home.
