Herman Ogden Heaton age 82 of Thomasville, AL died March 23, 2018 at Providence Hospital. He was born December 30, 1935 in Birmingham, AL to Herman Manuel Heaton the1st and Carrie Catherine Ogden Heaton. He was raised in Boston, MA. before moving back Alabama. He is a graduate of the University of Alabama and was a retired superintendent from MacMillan Bloedel Inc. He was a member of Thomasville United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Betty Rutledge Heaton of Thomasville, AL; two sons, Herman Manuel "Mal" Heaton (Anna) of Arley, AL; and Wesley Rutledge Heaton of Gulf Shores, AL; daughter, Kimberly Heaton Kirkham (Darren) of Prattville, AL; three grandchildren, Christana Catherine Kirkham, Caroline Hasty Kirkham, and Thomas Ogden Kirkham.
Visitation will be held at O'Bryant Chapel Funeral Home on Monday, March 26, 2018 from 10:00 am until the 11:00 am service time. Burial will follow in Evergreen Memorial Gardens in Thomasville, AL.
