Obituary for Essie Mae McGilberry

Essie Mae McGilberry age 85 a homemaker of Arlington, AL died February 12, 2018 at Camden Nursing Facility. She was born July 31, 1932 in Sunny South, AL to Ivey Earl and Mary Elizabeth Morgan. She was a member of County Line Baptist Church, a former member of Arlington United Methodist Church and was a childhood member of Sunny South Baptist Church.

She is survived by six children, Peter (Betty Jane) McGilberry, Gwen (Herb) Whittington, Betty Lou (Bob) Christian, Mary (James) Jam, Jim (Sherry) McGilberry, and June (Michael) Rush; sister, Ira Ann Womack; ten grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Flave McGilberry, her parents, Ivey Earl and Mary Elizabeth Morgan; her twin brother, Edward Earl Morgan, and brother, Nathan Terry Morgan.

Visitation will be held at O'Bryant Chapel Funeral Home on Wednesday, February 14, 2018 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Graveside funeral services will be at County Line Baptist Church Cemetery on Thursday, February 15, 2018 at 2:00 pm with Rev. Rex Jackson officiating.
