Alexander L. Smith age 75 of Grove Hill, AL died November 14, 2017 at Providence Hospital in Mobile, AL. He was born September 30, 1942 in Grove Hill, AL to Kendrick Claude and Etta Smith. He was a retired security officer and a member of Goodhope Baptist Church in Grove Hill, AL.

He is survived by his two daughters, Karla Smith and Denise Smith of Grove Hill, AL; son, Ken (Shelby) Smith of Grove Hill, AL; and two grandchildren, Bryant Smith and Kole Smith.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Geneva Smith and his parents, Kendrick Claude and Etta Smith.

Visitation will be held at Goodhope Baptist Church on Thursday, November 16, 2017 at 6:00 pm. Funeral services will be held at Goodhope Baptist Church on Friday, November 17, 2017 at 11:00 am with Rev. Leon Harrison officiating. Burial will be in the Goodhope Baptist Church Cemetery in Grove Hill, AL.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Goodhope Baptist Church.
