Thomas James Tucker age 89 of Linden, AL died October 15, 2017 at his home. He was born June 11, 1928 in Campground, AL to Thomas Jefferson and Willie Mae Tucker. He was a retired power house worker from James River Corp. and a member of Linden Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Peggy Barkley Tucker of Linden, AL; son, Thomas James (LaJuana) Tucker, Jr. of Deer Park, TX; two daughters, Debra Tucker (Tim) Simmons of Moundville, AL; and Cindy Tucker (Bobby) Miller of Linden, AL; two sisters, Myrtle Brooks Fields of Sweet Water, AL; and Nell Tucker Barkley of Linden, AL; six grandchildren, Chris Fitzhugh, Shane Fitzhugh, Tim Simmons, Clint (Beth) Miller, Brooke Miller, and Amber Tucker, one great grandchild, Rhett Lister.

Visitation will be held at Linden Baptist Church on Wednesday, October 18, 2017 from 1:00 pm until the 2:00 pm service time with Dr. Billy Harris officiating. Burial will be in the Linden Memorial Park in Linden, AL.
