Maggie "M.E" Stephens age 96 of Linden, AL died September 26, 2017 at Marengo Nursing Home. She was born January 13, 1921 in Billingsly, AL to Claud and Arrie Etta Herrod. She was a retired cosmetologist teacher and a member of Midway Baptist Church in Thomasville, AL.

She is survived by her daughter, Carol and Robert Drury of Linden, AL; three granddaughters, Pam and Mike Ward, Lynn and Danny Mitchem, and Ashley and Jason Pearson; sister, Grace Faulkner of Montgomery, AL; sister, Woodard Luker of Montgomery, AL; sister, Sara Nell Blackburn of Prattville, AL; brother, Donald Herrod of Prattville, AL; and sister, Imogene Finncannon of Augusta, GA; and five great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held at O'Bryant Chapel Funeral Home in Linden, AL on Thursday, September 28, 2017 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm. Funeral services will be held at Midway Baptist Church on Friday, September 29, 2017 at 11:00 am with Rev. Don Stephens officiating. Burial will be at Midway Baptist Church Cemetery in Thomasville, AL.
