Elizabeth Pittman Henderson age 99 of Dixons Mills and Mobile, AL died August 29, 2017 at Providence Hospital in Mobile, AL. She was born December 19, 1917 to Joe B. and Uldine Dunning Pittman. She was a retired school teacher at Sweet Water High School and was a member of Dixons Mills United Methodist Church.

She is survived by two daughters, Norma Dalgety of Mobile, AL; and Janean McCawley (Terry) of Mobile, AL: seven grandchildren, Scott Dalgety (Kelly) of Mobile, AL; Mark Dalgety (Kimberly) of Pelzer, SC; Kathryn McGuffin (Jeremy) of Little Rock, AR; John Dalgety (Rebecca) of Mobile, AL;Jennifer Godwin (Kenny) of Mobile, AL; Anna Lanier (Frank) Semmes, AL; Matthew McCawley (Katharina) of Marriana, GA; 17 great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Gavin Henderson

Visitation will be held at O'Bryant Chapel Funeral Home on Thursday, August 31, 2017 from 1:00 pm until the 2:00 pm service time with Rev. Leon Harrison and Rev. John Evangelista officiating. Burial will be in the Dunning Cemetery in Dixons Mills, AL.

Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital, PO Box 50, Memphis, TN 38101-9929 or Camp ASCCA, 5278 Camp Ascca Drive, Jackson's Gap, AL 36861.
