Virgie Pugh Akridge age 89 of Pine Hill, AL died August 17, 2017 at Providence Hospital. She was born December 25, 1927 in Irvington, AL to Robert Lee and Mary Alice Pugh. She was a retired county clerk with the Farmer's Home Administration and a member of Crossroads Community Church in Dixons Mills, AL.

She is survived by five sons, Joe (Angie) Akridge, Glenn (Donna) Akridge, Larry (Kathy) Akridge, Drew (Sheila) Akridge, and Matt Akridge, fourteen grandchildren, several great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Benjamin R. Akridge.

Memorial services will be held at Crossroads Community Church on Saturday, August 19, 2017 at 10:00 am with Rev. Glenn Akridge officiating.

Memorials may be made to Thomasville Health Care and Rehabilitation Center.
