Mary Lois Lewis age 97 of Linden, AL., died August 7, 2017 at Marengo Nursing Home. She was born December 17, 1919 in East Brewton, AL, to Willie James and Nancy Jane Mantel. She was a graduate of Downing-Shofner School in East Brewton, AL. She was a former secretary for the Marengo County Tax Assessors Office and the Marengo County D.H.R. She was a member of Linden United Methodist Church, and as a youth she was a member of Cedar Hill United Methodist Church.

She is survived by her daughter, Betty Jane (W. B.) Gardner of Linden, AL; and two grandchildren, Lindsy Gardner and William Benjamin Gardner, III

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert V. Lewis.

Visitation will be held at O'Bryant Chapel Funeral Home on Friday, August 11, 2017 from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Linden United Methodist Church.
