Willard Woodrow Bedsole age 69 of Forkland, AL died February 17, 2017 at Hospice of West Alabama. He was born November 5, 1947 in Marengo County, AL to E. B. and Annie Frank Bedsole. He was a retired maintenance worker with Borden Chemical Company.
He is survived by his wife, Charlotte Barnes Bedsole of Forkland, AL; daughter, Shannon Bedsole (Marc) Bozeman of Demopolis, AL; son, Christopher Shane (Waverly Dickerson) Bedsole of Demopolis, AL; three special girls that he thought of as his adopted daughters, Leighann Shearin of Russellville, AL; Kelly Swindele of Jasper, AL; and Michele Lewis of Demopolis, AL; two brothers, Pete Bedsole of Beaver Creek, AL; and Glenn Bedsole of Mary Esther, FL; two sisters, Mary Boozer and Providence, AL; and Voncille Nichols of Opelika, AL; six grandchildren, Madison Bozeman, Ashley Bozeman, Trey Williams, Amanda Brace, Tucker Brace, and Nikkie Swindle Wade; great grandchild, Sophie Lee Campbell.
He was preceded in death by his parents, E. B. and Annie Frank Bedsole, brother, Billy Grey “Buddy” Bedsole, sister, Willie Mae Dickson, and brother, Bobby Bedsole.
Visitation will be held at O’Bryant Chapel Funeral Home on Thursday, February 23, 2017 from 1:00 pm until the 2:00 pm memorial service time with Rev. Chad Ward officiating. Burial will follow at Bedsole Family Cemetery in Gallion, AL.
Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to the Cancer Center in Demopolis, AL, or to Hospice of West Alabama.
