Obituary for Lois Dews

Ethel Lois Jordan Dews age 91 of Sweet Water, AL died October 13, 2016 at Mobile Infirmary. She was born May 17, 1925 in Sweet Water, AL. to Fredrick Lee and Rebecca Jane Newton Jordan. She was a retired seamstress and a member of Hoboken Baptist Church.

She is survived by two sons, John Thomas Dews and Norman Guin Dews, two daughters, Elizabeth Jane Dews Hutto and Sandra Lee Dews Cooper, her brother, Alex Jordan, nine grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her, husband, Julian Norman Dews, her parents, Fredrick Lee and Rebecca Jane Newton Jordan, daughter, Margaret Ethel Dews, three brothers, Guin Jordan, Jack Jordan, and Pete Jordan, three sisters, Winnie Bee Snodgrass, Mildred Walker, and Mary Huckabee.

Visitation will be held at Hoboken Baptist Church on Saturday, October 15, 2016 from 12:00 noon until the 2:00 pm service time with Rev. Gray Snodgrass and Rev. Warren Huggins officiating. Burial will be in the Sweet Water Cemetery in Sweet Water, AL.
